Solutions Architect (Permanent)

Location: Glasgow, Scotland Country: UK Rate: £55k - £60k per annum +
 

Your new role
Our Glasgow-based client is a venerable institution which is recognised worldwide for its commitment to delivering excellence. They are seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the identification and procurement of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the CRM system, ensuring it meets our organisational needs and integrates seamlessly with our existing IT infrastructure.

The key responsibilities:

  • Identifying and documenting the business requirements and objectives that the CRM system must fulfil.
  • Evaluating current business processes and technology to determine the best integration approach for the new CRM system.
  • Leading design and architecture sessions with internal clients and external partners to create a robust solution that aligns with business goals.
  • Creating detailed technical documentation and architectural diagrams to guide the development and integration of the CRM system.
  • Evaluating and recommending the appropriate tools, technologies, and frameworks for the CRM system.
  • Managing the implementation process, ensuring that the CRM system is integrated smoothly with other business systems.
  • Making sure that the CRM system adheres to all relevant security standards and business policies.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including business groups and technology teams, to ensure project specifications are met.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role.
  • Proficiency in systems thinking and architectural design, understanding of IT infrastructure, and familiarity with software development, especially in modern environments such as cloud services. Knowledge of CRM platforms and their capabilities is essential.
  • A good understanding of business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills to assess system requirements and design comprehensive solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in software development or related fields, with a track record of developing and delivering quality system applications.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand their needs and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during the system design and implementation phases.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work closely with various stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and business leaders.
  • The foresight to anticipate future needs and trends in technology, and the ability to innovate and leverage solutions that provide a competitive edge.
