Lead Project Manager, Hybrid. SOLE AGENT

You will have demonstrable experience of managing the delivery of CRM, and ERP projects in an Agile environment.

Our client, a large charity, require a talented Lead Project Manager to join their team, this is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the office and 2 remote. This is a hands on role. You will Line Manage a team of 4+ Project Managers at varying levels of experience, providing support and guidance as well as ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to scope and on budget. Supporting the Head of Business Change and various stakeholders across the IT, Digital and Business Change areas in continuous improvement of delivery processes and delivery of projects on the Technology roadmap. Your role will be roughly split 50/50 between Line Management and Managing your own projects.

YOUR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Essential

  • Previous line management experience.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of CRM, and ERP projects.
  • Knowledge of M365 business applications
  • Experience in Agile delivery environments
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Extensive experience of the full project management life cycle.
  • Extensive experience of successfully delivering Business Change and IT system implementation projects, to time, budget, and quality.
  • Demonstrable experience of successful stakeholder management and relationship building.
  • Experience of successfully managing change.
  • Experience of managing 3rd party supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of MS Project

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

Line management accountabilities include:

  • Regular 121 meetings with the team of Project Managers.
  • Objective setting, performance management of the team including identifying development areas and ensuring that each team member has a personal development plan.
  • Ensuring company methodology and project standards are continuously improved as well as supporting the company on their Agile transformation journey.
  • Chairing of the Project Management Community of Practice.

Project Management accountabilities include:

  • Responsible for end-to-end project delivery.
  • To assess projects for organisational benefit vs cost and where required coordinate the Invitation to Tender process.
  • Manage appropriate project controls and structures to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project, overseeing progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring two-way communication channels are set up and managed appropriately.
  • Manage the Project Steering Group, ensuring that key stakeholders are engaged and informed, highlighting any threats to the project, which could mean the projects may overrun or exceed budget.
  • Manage the identification of risks and issues to the project, taking actions to ensure they are appropriately monitored and managed to minimise exposure.
  • Monitor the project budget in conjunction with Finance reporting to the Project Steering Group as required.
  • Maintain a balanced viewpoint to regularly assess the project to ensure it will still meet the criteria for its implementation and that benefits will be realised, highlight to the Project Steering Group and other key stakeholders any threats to this.
  • Manage the relationship with the preferred third-party suppliers.
  • Working closely with the Product Owners and Scrum masters of the internal Agile delivery squads where internal development is required.
