Description:
The Electrification IS Infrastructure organization is embarking the journey of accelerated adoption of the cloud related infrastructure solutions within Electrification business. To support business on this journey the Cloud Infrastructure Solution Architect will support the adoption of Google and Azure Cloud based IT landscapes within EL organization by providing related cloud related architecture vision and direction to the application and business teams ensuring technical and commercial viability of the cloud related initiatives.
In parallel the cloud solution architect will contribute internally within EL IS Infrastructure Architecture community on the topics of architecture standardization, security, compliance, automation, service continuity and cost optimization across cloud platforms and related technologies contributing to the overall EL business strategy and goals.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer science, general sciences, engineering, Business Management or similar or equivalent experiences with minimum 8 years of IS infrastructure Solution Architecture experience where from minimum 4 years cloud related experience .
- Strong experience in infrastructure solution architecture translating business requirements into a suitable and cost effective IS solution
- Strong analytical skills with good understanding of different IS Infrastructure components and ability to integrate multiple components into a working end to end solution.
- Certification and/or in-depth experience with Google and Azure Cloud platforms
- Certification and/or related experience with architecture methodologies eg TOGAF are beneficial
- Excellent communication (written and presented), inter-personal and consulting skills in English
Knowledge and skills
- Requires 10 or more years of relevant experience in IT. Preferably in complex IT environments.
- Experience designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure and cloud based solutions based on GCP and Azure
- Well acquainted with Google and Azure cloud architecture frameworks and techniques.
- Good knowledge of networking concepts and solutions including WAN (SD-), LAN, DNS, Firewalls, load balancers etc.
- Experience designing and implementing different disaster recovery solutions on-premises and cloud related
- Experience of transitioning on-premises workloads to the cloud
- Strong experience of developing and documenting Infrastructure Architecture and roadmaps
- Experience with Infrastructure and processes automation both on-prem and in the cloud
- Broad range of understanding of Architectural and IT service frameworks and experience in adapting them to drive effective, efficient outcomes.
- Strong software architecture skills, preferably with an emphasis on architecting across multiple applications or domains.
- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts rapidly and to rate their potential against real business requirements.
- Very strong interpersonal skills: able to build and sustain effective working relationships at all levels.
- Experience on implementing DevOps model within the organization is beneficial.
- Able to formulate solutions at a conceptual level and compare and evaluate potential solutions
- Strong technical know-how - understanding of a broad range of technologies and their applicability
- Possess knowledge of Infra & Network related to migration and transformation
- Good experience of working on Unix, Windows & Linux platform.
- Understanding of the following technical domains: Database, Storage, Middleware, VMware, Network
